Our family night activity started out as a fun bike ride, but ended up stranded with a flat tire 4 miles from home. We rode up towards the mouth of American Fork Canyon and stopped by the Highland Greens golf course to throw rocks in the river. As we were getting Taylor and Mason out of the bike trailer, the trailer tire popped. Good thing for the cell phone that never leaves Mike's side, we were able to call my dad to bring his truck to take home the bikes and trailer.
The kids had a great time throwing rocks in the river. Mason didn't like throwing rocks in the water, he had to be IN the water. He was Soaked! Lucky for Mason, I happened to have any extra pair of clothes the diaper bag, he just had to dress like a girl. I think he looked pretty cute :)

Oh goodness, that sounds like kind of a rough family night. You guys are totally buff to be able to ride your bikes that far though. I'm impressed.
Been stranded with a flat but not with 4 kids, thank goodness for cell phones. When life gives you lemons make lemonade, or in your case jump in a river.
