Happy Mother's Day to Me

Mike took me on our "First Annual Mother's Day" get away. We left the kidlets in Richfield with Mike's parents and rode the streetbike to Boulder on Friday night and then Saturday we rode to Zions and came home on Sunday afternoon. It was a quick trip, but a much needed get away. Mike's parents deserve a HUGE thank you...THANK YOU!!! Mason and Shelby got the stomach flu while they were there and then to top it off Mike's parents got sick a couple of days later. Sorry Grandpa and Grandma Deuel :(

I can't believe that we live so close to such natural wonders and I have never been to Zions...Ever! We hiked a little and decided that this fall when it cools off to bring the family back down for a few days.

I am already looking forward to next years Mother's Day get away. Better get planning Mike.

The Boulder Mountain at Dusk. If you have never been down this way you should plan a trip...GORGEOUS!!!

The old post office (and the old house behind) that Grandma Lyman used to run

Looking off the road from Boulder to Escalante

That black line snaking its' way through the picture is the road... a twisty, turny road that Mike got bruises on his sides from me holding on so tight.

Calf Creek Campground

The little joint that we had lunch at in Escalante...the biggest burger and tastiest homemade fries

Bryce Canyon

Random Tidbit: I really like windmills

The infamous Zions tunnel...if you don't know the story about this tunnel and Mike, you should ask him

Zions has the largest sandstone cliffs in the world...how cool is that?

The end of the Riverwalk Hike and start of the Narrows...we wanted to hike part of the Narrows, but it was closed because the river was too high.

This one's for you Jen :)

A blurry picture taken while riding the bike...I wonder how many more thousands of years until that becomes a giant arch

Thanks Mike for planning such a fun and relaxing weekend, I wish we could have more of those!

Yes you need more of those dates. I'm so glad you got away...Isn't southern Ut. one of the most beautiful places? Are you going to be down to Richfield for the 4th? I hope so.

Thank you for all of your really nice comments on my blog.

Hope all is well!
