I went to Duchesne on Saturday with my Mom.
We picked corn to freeze, dug new red potatoes to eat and picked Yellow Transparent Apples for applesauce.
Shelby is not enjoying herself, can you tell?
Taylor isn't convinced yet that the corn field is fun.
She kept yelling to me that she was getting lost.
We shucked over 120 ears of corn Saturday night. My kids loved picking the corn
out of the bowl before I could get it into freezer bags.
Monday night, my mom taught me how to make applesauce.
We had some great helpers.
Even Super girl made an appearance.
We canned 34 quarts after all was said and done!
Thanks Mom for all your hard work!
Yummy!!!

Gotta admit I'm quite jealous. I've been trying to convice myself to go find some peaches to can. I've never tried applesauce but now I know how to make it good. Yours looked beautiful!
Way to Go! Your amazing.
What a great example of Provident Living!!! I have to say that the applesauce tastes as good as it looks, yummy and my baby especially loved it. One of these days maybe I'll try it out-we'll see!
Where did you guys go in Duchesne to get produce?
