Memorial Day

Over Memorial Day weekend we went to Duchesne for the annual Wright Family Reunion. After we went to Grandma's House - probably one of the last few times we will go there since everything is getting wrapped up. Michael drove the Kubota with the kids in the bucket - just like Grandpa Leland used to do when I was little. I was a little bit leary of Michael's driving skills, but all the kids still had all their fingers when they were done - none cut off from the bucket.

Hunter helped Ryan mow the lawn...he took it very seriously!

I wanted to take the kids back up to the old house and show them where I used to play at Grandma's house when I was their age... all the fun memories my brothers and I made playing on the sand cliffs.

The old house just doesn't look the same as the memories that I still think of with it...many summer days spent with Grandma and Grandpa...playing in the yard on the swingset (which is now gone), floating boats down the ditch, getting allergies sooo bad from the hay fields that my eyes literally swelled shut...those were the days!
